Autumn Johnson

Founder & Chief Legal Officer at SoundLaw

I am a licensed attorney in the State of Washington. Prior to law school, I was a social worker for the State of Arizona. During law school, I interned at multiple nonprofit organizations, externed for the Lane County Circuit Court, completed two fellowships, and was an editor on law review. After law school, I completed a two-year judicial clerkship for the Jerome County District Court in Idaho. Upon completion of my clerkship, I relocated to Seattle and founded SoundLaw, a boutique law firm that practices business and intellectual property law with an emphasis on small businesses and nonprofits. In the early days it was a public interest law firm, taking on any case in line with its values. However, to be able to continue helping people, SoundLaw had to keep its doors open. So, it narrowed its focus and adapted its business model. Being a business attorney wasn't the original plan, but I am passionate about small businesses, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits. I believe that collectively they better our community, thereby bettering the world. In my free time I enjoy all things related to the arts, the outdoors, and college sports.
